On behalf of our clients, some of Australia’s leading principal underground mining companies, MPI are currently seeking applications from experienced underground Heavy Diesel Fitters for positions across the Goldfields and Pilbara regions. These are long-term opportunities and will see successful applicants initially working under contract with MPI before transferring over to permanent with the client.

About the roles:
These roles are based primarily in the workshop, however doing breakdowns and recovery work down the shaft is also required from time to time. You will complete service & breakdown works, including diagnostic duties to identify faults - the suitable candidates will be responsible for all maintenance requirements to the fleet. Experience with underground Sandvik, Epiroc, Normet and CAT machinery is highly beneficial.

To be considered you will ideally:
  • Hold a relevant Australian recognised 'Heavy Diesel' trade certificate
  • Hold a current driver's licence
  • Hold a current (issued within the last 6 months) or be able to obtain a cleared National Police clearance
  • Have the ability to pass all pre-employment medical requirements, including drug/alcohol screens
  • Have an exceptionally high standard for safety and compliance to site protocols
  • Be able to provide a minimum of two contactable referees, relevant to your experience.
